Graham H. MacLean


MacLean, Graham H., of Dartmouth, passed away June 24, 2022.

He was born in on April 30, 1948 in New Glasgow, to Arthur Gordon MacLean and Ruth Sinclair (Fraser) Nesman, and raised in Thorburn. In his younger years, he played softball with the Thorburn Mohawks and was inducted in the Pictou County Hall of Fame and the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame. He went on to have a successful career with the Royal Bank. His cottage in Edgerton was his happy place and he spent many happy years there.

Graham is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth (Wilson); sons Scott (Shauna) MacLean and their children Lily and Marley, Gregory (Carolyn) MacLean and their daughter Olivia, Stephen MacLean. His beautiful granddaughters were the light of his life. He is also survived by his Aunt Lorraine; cousins Eric, Tom, Ruth Ann and Vaughn Fraser; in-laws Mark Wilson, Mary (Sandy) MacDonald, Walter (Muriel) Wilson, Kevin (Crystal) Wilson, Charmaine (Dale) Jenkins; many nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his Uncles, Graham, Doug and Bert Fraser; brother-in-law George Wilson; and sister-in-law Dorothy Wilson.

Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Thursday June 30th in St. John XXIII Parish, 35 Colby Drive, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
