Forever missed & Always remembered
The family announce with heavy hearts the passing of Wayne “Shuster” Richard Brown age 63 of Strathcona on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at his second home at RHDH.
Born in River Hebert, he was the son of the late Frederick and Gertrude (Hickey) Brown.
Wayne was born to be a cleaner, from a young age, he was seen straightening up and sweeping the floors every night. It is no wonder he enjoyed his janitorial job at the River Hebert School where he became a familiar face to staff and students. Wayne’s kindness would allow kids to get free pop and do other shenanigans around the school. He was also a cat lover and ate KFC on Friday nights and wouldn’t be shy to share it with his favorite cat, Donald. He was loved by many in the community, you could say he was the mayor of River Hebert.
Wayne will be fondly remembered by his siblings Lawson Cook, Judy (Barry) Smith, Linda (Terry) Skimboff; Sally (Craig) White; Myrna Brown and Laurie Mattatall; nieces and nephews Gordon, Kevin, Keith, Sharon, Karen, Stanley, Lana, Lorna, Michael, Larry, Dale, Crystal, Dianna, Jason, Michelle, David, Adam, Andrew, Jason, Alisha, Justin, Joel, Tommy, Matthew and his special niece Kayla who was the love of his life.
He also will be missed by his co-worker and best friend Karen Hawkes.
Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his brothers Vincent and his twin Freddie and sisters Anna, Betty and Sarah.
A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 2 – 4 pm held in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst, 902-667-9906.
Donations may be made in Wayne’s memory to the L. A. Animal Shelter.
