Mik, when you told me the rent for a room in your house on Glebe Ave., and working with you I was truly taken aback at your chivalrous joie de vivre. I couldn't believe such a man existed. We worked together, laughed, and I have never forgotten you . . . You pushed me on, perhaps without knowing it, in my studies at OCA. Those evenings with those huge Bose speakers, and the music on the weekends for all the neighbours to hear, the love of our craft . . . this is the Mik I shall always remember. I remember meeting you in a diner on Industrial Avenue, years after we had parted from Crawley Films, with your wife and son. I said to my wife, "Oh my, get up Sweets, and follow me. I am about to introduce you to a truly 'honest and forthright man.' You were a turning point in my life Mik, you pushed me to follow my dream. I have been drawing and colouring all my life and truly want you and your family that it was you, that made it so. Thank you Mik Casey.
