Dr. Khitab delivered both of my two children at St. Josh’s Hospital in 1976, and 1977. It was a very touching and memorable moment when she rocked my firstborn as a mother would do ! This was very special because I had had fertility issues which she resolved for me over time . She gave me excellent and loving care through both pregnancies and births and treated me as though I was her own daughter . She used to call me “Pet” ....it seems she had a very caring bond with me but perhaps it was that way with all her patients . Only a few years ago ....so many years later, I spoke to her in Fortinos .... I recognized her but asked if she was Dr. Khitab ....when she replied “ that would be me” I introduced her to my daughter who she had delivered so many decades before . She replied “ she is very beautiful .....I hope I did a good job .” I assured her that she did. I now have five beautiful grandchildren and I can thank Dr Khitab for giving me the joyful gift of motherhood . I will never forget her . My deepest condolences to the family .....may she rest in peace after a lifetime of caring and bringing new life into the world .
