Obituary Overview

Quintine Ratnayake

RATNAYAKE, Dr. Quintine "Quintus". It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our husband, father, grandfather and brother, Dr. Quintus Ratnayake on October 5, 2019. Born on August 3, 1938 in Sri Lanka, he had a long and fulfilling career as a psychiatrist. Beginning his journey in Sri Lanka, he lived and worked in England before moving to Ontario in 1986 and practicing in Timmins and Brantford. He will be missed by his loving wife Thusitha "Krishanthi", children Senani (Brendan) and Ruwan (Anna), and grandchildren, Maya and Kirin, along with his siblings, Turin, Sarath, and Sunethra. We will receive friends and family for a visitation on Tuesday, Oct 8 (6-9 pm), and a Buddhist service on Wednesday, Oct 9 (10-11 am), at Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home, 378 Wilson St E, Ancaster. In lieu of flowers, any donations towards St. Peter's Hospital Maplewood (Hamilton Health Sciences), who cared so well for him, would be greatly appreciated.
