Marino Giordani

Giordani, Marino, age 81. It is with great sadness that we announce our father’s passing after a long and courageous battle with cancer on November 23, 2020. A son of the late Luigi and Antonietta, Marino was born in Castle di Tora, Rieti, Italy on September 14, 1939.
Marino grew up in Forcella and then moved to Roma, Italy to learn his craft before relocating to Halifax, Nova Scotia August 1960. It was there that he married his loving wife of 60 years on September 24, 1960. Marino was a master tailor and had his own tailor shop for many years before retiring from House of Rodney. Marino also loved watching Formula One Racing and the Inter Milan Soccer Team.
He is survived by his loving wife Lucia (nee Gentile), sons; Franco Taraschi (Anna), Aldo Giordani (Angela) and daughter; Daniela Colter (David), grandchildren; Natasha Dobson (Greg), Jordan Taraschi, Ryan Colter (Mary), Sean Colter, Liam Colter (Mak), and Mitchell Giordani, sister; Letizia (Alvaro), Victorio (Conchetta), Bruno (Lidia), Luciano (Verna), Ezio (Patrizia) and many nieces and nephews in Canada, US, and Italy.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by, brother; Aldo (Annina) Giordani, sister; Tomassina (Lino) DePetris.

I was very sorry to hear the sad news about Marino. He was a wonderful part of the House of Rodney and I remember him very fondly. He was a wonderful co-worker, and I considered him to be a friend. I send my best wishes to the family. Rodney
