Obituary Overview

Liam Thomas Hanley

On the 17th of July 2021, our baby boy, Liam Thomas Hanley, turned 27.
On that day he passed away suddenly at home.
He was loved.

The family is devastated by his passing.
We are grieving deeper than words can possibly express.
Arrangements will be made at a future date for a full celebration of life fitting to someone who was so capable, talented, and caring.
He was loved.

He was a father to young Will.
He was a brother to James, Jessica, Alan, and Sheena.
He was our son.
He was loved.

He had a diploma of engineering.
He was an entrepreneur, an app developer, and a programmer.
He spoke several languages and lived, for a time, in Japan and then Vancouver; touching many lives for the good.
He was an avid audiophile; a real aficionado of sound.
He wrote musical scores for several video games.
He taught an instructional course in how to use music creating software.
He drew and he wrote short stories.
He was a true artist.
He was loved.

He felt deeply.
He was a pacifist and an animal lover.
He was happiest in nature and enjoyed camping.
His greatest joy was becoming a father and spending time with his son, Will.
He will be loved.

He struggled.
He internalized and felt every hurt deeply.
He was able to forgive anyone anything; anyone but himself.
He could save anyone but himself.
He was loved.

His loss has been crushing.
He was, and is, loved more than words can possibly express.
He will be missed to the end of time.
He has left a hole in our lives that nothing can fill.
He was loved.

He took chances and experimented, not just in music but in everything.
He never backed away from a challenge and he went forward with the open eyed innocence of a child.
He was loved.
