Stepping Up After a Funeral

How can you help a friend or relative after a funeral?

Well, don't expect them to be able to tell you exactly what they need, because at this point they don't know.

They're still trying to come to grips with their loss.

Food is always welcome.

Taking care of kids can be a huge help.

Cut grass or shovel snow for an older widow.

Help them sort through belongings.

If you have a special skill and you think it would help-offer it.

In general, you can never go wrong by asking yourself: "What would I appreciate right now?"
