Obituary Overview

In Loving Memory

With great sadness we announce the unexpected death of Brian J.A. Jeffery near North Bay on August 16, 2021 in his 63rd year. Beloved husband of Julianna for over 36 years. Devoted, proud and cherished father of Nathan and Lisa. Survived by his mother Sheila Jeffery and predeceased by his father Brian F.C. Jeffery. Loving brother of Penelope Jeffery and Marianne Gaunt. Dearly loved by his nieces and nephews.

Brian was an elementary teacher with the Halton Public School Board where he taught for thirty years. Prior to teaching, Brian worked for Toronto EMS. Brian shared in the interests of his children, Nathan and Lisa, and instilled in them the love of nature and the love of taking the time to enjoy the simple beauties of life. He was a constant and dependable support for Nathan as he developed his talents in voice and organ performance at the St. Michael's Choir School and Lisa's biggest fan with the Oakville Hornets and Oakville Angels.

A word of gratitude to Fr. Eric Mason, who was the organizer of the Catholic walking pilgrimage (in the footsteps of the Canadian Martyrs) on which Brian spent his last days and was cared for so much. A word of thanks to the pilgrims who prayed for him in his last hours. The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to all of the family and friends that continue to provide love and support.

Donations may be made to Brian J.A. Jeffery Memorial Scholarship Fund at St. Michael’s Choir School.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Mr. Jeffrey was one of my teachers throughout elementary school. He was an amazing person, an amazing teacher and amazing mentor to me in my youth. He always brought out the best in all of his students and I know he will be missed by many. I give my deepest condolences to his family in this hard time.

I had Mr.Jeffery as a teacher in a few of my elementary school years and I believe he was the nicest man to walk this planet. Always lighting up the room as soon as he walked in, he taught me many life lessons that I will cherish forever. He was a great man and it makes me sad to see him gone, I will miss you, Mr.Jeffery. Rest In Peace Brian Jeffery.
