Personalized Funeral Services
Celebrate a Life Well Lived

There are many functions that a funeral fulfills: it honours a unique life; it gives friends and family a chance to say goodbye, and it provides a place where the healing process can begin. For thousands of years, the funeral has played an important role in providing consolation during a time of loss and mourning.

Say More Than Just Goodbye

We invite you to plan a service that’s as traditional or contemporary as you want.  We welcome unique requests to honour the memory of your loved one and our planning specialists will work creatively to ensure your memorial is a one-of-a-kind tribute.

Traditionally, there is a visitation period before the service for friends and family to express their love, support, and concern.  We offer access to quiet visitation rooms that provide a peaceful atmosphere for your visitation period.

Planning a Service and Reception

Our beautifully decorated  chapel is suitable for a large gathering. But don’t feel you are required to have a traditional, clergy-led function.  There are endless ways to pay homage to your loved one in a style that reflects their passions.  We can offer services that cater to the traveller, the reader, the sports fan, the crafter, the volunteer, and so many more.  Send guests home with mementos that remind them of their loved one, or serve a personalized menu of favourite recipes and foods.

As you personalize the funeral, some things to consider include:

  • Attributes or passions of the person who died that you want to be sure to honour
  • Memories to share
  • Important people to include
  • Person to lead the ceremony
  • Others who might want to speak or share memories
  • Music ideas for the visitation and ceremony
  • Readings for the ceremony

After the funeral, you may want to host a reception for family and friends to gather for a meal or refreshments. Our large reception room, with full kitchen facilities provides a welcoming place to reminisce, share tears and even a few laughs.

Online Tributes

Thanks to the Internet, being able to honour your loved one from anywhere has become easier. Our exclusive online memorial site, Sharing Memories, is available free of charge. It’s a wonderful place to share photos, messages or videos about your loved one. The profile will always be accessible, letting friends and family visit and reminisce whenever they like.

Helping You Cope with Grief

Regina Funeral Home & Cemetery provides free AfterCare service to help support you through your grief. Our AfterCare experts can also help when dealing with important – and sometimes confusing – matters after the funeral, such as finalizing the estate.

Planning Ahead

Planning a funeral for a loved one requires you to make many decisions and choices during a time of grief. You can spare your family from the stress – and financial burden – by pre-planning your own funeral. Planning in advance lets you tell your final story in your own unique way. It feels good to know it’s all taken care of.

You also receive exclusive benefits when planning ahead, including funeral coverage for children and grandchildren under the age of 19, and the ability to transfer your service to any of our locations across Canada.  Find out more about pre-planning final arrangements.

The Benefits of Planning Ahead

  • Savings:  Planning early offers cost savings of up to thousands of dollars.
  • Reduce the burden on your family: Planning your final arrangements ahead of time reduces the responsibilities on your family at their time of distress.
  • Peace of mind: Gain comfort in knowing your plans are ready.
