Nate The Great!

“Nate The Great!”
Nathan Jacques Beaudoin
December 03, 2010 – February 07, 2020

Nate passed away peacefully on February 07, 2020 at the tender age of 9 with his Mommy and Daddy by his side at the Stollery Children’s Hospital after a long and courageous battle with his heart.

Nate’s legacy will live on forever through his Mommy, Carrie and Daddy, Joey, as well as his numerous family members and friends, classmates, KC hockey teammates, Facebook supporters, his heart community, and the amazing Stollery staff who showed tremendous care and compassion throughout our journey.

Nate was a Kind, brave, courageous, and gentle soul who was loved by everyone who knew him, near and far. His gentle spirit touched the lives of so many in his short 9 years. He will forever be remembered as ``Nate The Great``.

In honor of Nate The Great and Congenital heart defect week, the family encourages anyone that will be attending his Celebration of Life to wear pink or red for Valentine’s Day, your favorite superhero cape, or T-shirt.

A Celebration of Nate The Great’s Life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm with a viewing one hour prior to the service at Evergreen Funeral Home at 16204 Fort Road, NW, (with access off 153 Avenue only), Edmonton, AB.

My sincerest condolences for your loss. My son's Atom team played this weekend in the Stollery Family Day Classic and he told me that they were told of Nate's story before their first game. We didn't know until later why they were chanting "Nate, Nate, Nate" at the end of the game but I was so proud of them for doing so. Although we didn't know Nate, during this weekend we certainly thought of him. His #23 was on the kids helmets. God bless.

We didn’t know Nate, but it sounds like he was a special little boy and our hearts go out to his parents and all his loved ones.
