I had the privilege of getting to know Erich over several years when I was just starting out as the pastor of
Our Savior Lutheran Church. I was immediately impressed by his humble nature. Others of his stature and accomplishments are quick to advertise them, but not Mr. Janke.
I and the people of Our Savior have also been deeply moved and encouraged by Erich's foresight and generosity.
Erich, you have sown a legacy of hope while creating space for innovation that will bear fruit for generations to come.
Thank God for you!
Erich was always the consummate gentleman. His resourcefulness was unmatched.
It was a pleasure to have known Erich for 20+ years. It was always interesting to speak
with Erich as he was so knowledgeable on many subjects. It was a challenge to get him
on the Allied Incentive Travel Trips as he won several, but we did finally enjoy his
participation on St. Lucia. The construction equipment world has lost an irreplaceable
asset. God bless Erich Janke!
