It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Ed MacLeod, 84, husband of Joyce (Spence), at home on July 28, 2022, following a lengthy illness. He was the son of the late Hilton and Helen MacLeod.

Upon completing his internship in 1968, he established his Family Practice at the Moncton Medical Clinic, where he remained until his retirement. In addition to his busy practice, he was active in a number of volunteer and community activities including: President of The Moncton Hospital Medical Staff; a member of the Greater Moncton Planning Commission, Council of Mount Royal United Church, and the Moncton Probus Club.
Ed’s happy place was salmon fishing on the Miramichi River. For many years, he was a partner in the Aberdeen Fishing Club, Doaktown, NB., where countless hours were spent on the river and relaxing back at the camp with his fishing buddies. He also enjoyed fly tying, photography, and time at their trailer in Port Phillip, NS.
Ed is survived his wife of 57 years, Joyce (Spence), son, Andy (Shawna), Brother Don (Greta), Sister Marlene, as well as nephews and nieces Terry, Sandy, Catherine, Jennifer and their children. He was predeceased by his son Brian in 2019.
A private graveside service will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
