In Loving Memory

David passed away at The Ottawa General Hospital surrounded by his family on Monday September 21, 2020. He was the beloved husband to Sara for 34 years. He was a loving father to, and is deeply missed by, his daughter Stephanie and son Jonathan. He is dearly missed by his mother, Noreen. He was a caring brother to Linda Tham, her husband Victor Tham, and their sons Jeffrey and Matthew.

David was a quiet and kind man with the biggest heart who always seemed to know how to help with any problem. He constantly ensured to lend a helping hand to everyone, from friends and family, to his RMC class of 1983, to even new friends he made on his many travels. David’s passion for travelling the world is only beat out by his love of Disney. He would spend many nights playing Disney songs on the piano, his favorite being “Tale As Old As Time” from The Beauty And The Beast. His gentle smile, enduring love, insatiable sweet tooth, and caring nature will be profoundly missed.

As a part of David’s final wishes, please consider donating to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.

I was so sad to hear of David’s passing. He was an amazing, kind and thoughtful person. I will always remember our conversations - even though we didn’t see each other often growing up, he always remembered what I was doing at the time and took genuine interest in my life. We wish to send our deepest condolences and thoughts from Eddy, Caitlin, Ethan and I to Sarah, Stephanie and Jonathan.

Dear Auntie Sara, Jonathan, and Stephanie, I'm writing to your family my condolences. It was just earlier this year that our 2 families got together to have brunch, and I was really looking forward to the next time we could drive to Kingston to spend time together again... The news of Uncle Dave's passing was so sudden and shocking to my family and I. We sincerely enjoyed his presence and loved that he would dive into arts & crafts; sewing & cosplay with the 4 of us "kids" (Steph, Jonathan, Annie, and I). He was such a down-to-earth, open-minded, & patient and supportive person. I am going to miss Uncle Dave as the 2 of our families have shared many warm memories growing up together. I will remember him for a very long time. Sending your family warm e-hugs and strength during this difficult time.
