Joel was kind and compassionate, I met him through a course we took together and then again at BSS. He loved talking about Football (Soccer) and I was struck by his gentleness and understanding. This is a very sad loss indeed. My condolences to friends and family.

So many memories for Joel through the wonderful world of soccer. Joel was an awesome player, teammate and competitor who my son Adam had the pleasure of coaching at St. Lawrence College. I'll remember him for his great defending in many a game against us. He will be missed by all of us. May God take your soul to the best possible place. RIP Joel.

I had the pleasure of working with Joel the past 3 years at LCVI. He was an outstanding worker who showed up every day with a smile and a hard working attitude. He will be missed tremendously, both professionally and personally. He was a proud husband and father. My life was enriched just knowing him. His quiet, positive, lead by example attitude will always be remembered. Condolences to family and friends.
