Jackie, my heart goes out to you and your family at this unbelievably sad time. It has been decades since I last saw you and I have never met Jermaine, however, the news of his sudden death at such a young age leaves me incredibly sad and I want to reach out and offer my deepest condolences. I can only imagine the grief that you and your family are going through at this time. Through your photos it was clear to see how much love existed in your family and that Jermaine was a son that made you a proud parent. I hope his memories will live on in the things he cherished the most and the love and strength of your family and friends will help you through this devastating time. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.

This poem comforted me when my sister passed on, and I hope you will find comfort in the words as well. My heart goes out to you and your family... Gone From My Sight I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side, spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone." Gone where? Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast, hull and spar as she was when she left my side. And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me -- not in her. And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone," there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!" And that is dying...
