Passed away peacefully on April 22, 2021 at Valleyview Nursing Home in Richmond Hill, in his 81st year. Roosevelt was born on the 21st of April, 1940 in the town of Claxton Bay on the small island of Trinidad & Tobago. He got married in Trinidad before moving to Canada in 1969, where he built a foundation for his wife Marilyn and their children Annalicia and Robert. He was a hard working husband, dedicated father and an amazing role model for his siblings. He was one of the eldest of 14 children. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Ramadine, Harold, Winston, Ruby, Radica, Pamela and Pearl, along with many nephews and nieces. He was a strong pillar of his family and will be missed and loved forever as we carry his memories in our hearts. His life was not always easy but he always remained a beacon of strength throughout his ups and downs and always valued most - happiness and togetherness with his loved ones.
Due to the pandemic, a private Funeral Service will be held at Glendale Funeral Home followed by a private Cremation.

My deepest condolences to the Sobers family. I will always remember Uncle Sobers as a kind caring and generous man. He was always so much fun to visit when we were kids. Rest in Peace Uncle. Until we meet again.
