Hearing about this now is truly saddening. Sure, we’ve had our ups and downs but friends bicker. Rest easy, my friend. Bros forever <3.

It is with our deepest sympathy that we say goodbye to our beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew and friend. Cameron Robert James Minson passed away in his sleep, at home, on April 2, 2023, at the age of 21.
He will be missed by his father Derek, mother Lauraine, brother Curtis and sister Carolyn.
Grandparents Bob and Doris Minson. Uncles Dave (Sherry), Jack (Carolyn), Rob (Tara). Aunts Lindsay (Harry), Maureen (Jeff), Pauline (Gavin), Cousins Stephen, Jonathon, Brett, Meghan, Danielle, Chris, Robert, Micheal, Emily, Andrew, Braden, Alannah and Aidan.
Full of energy from the time he was born, Cam loved to be active. With everything he did he was able to make people smile. His giggle when younger was contagious and treasured. He was constantly telling jokes and trying to make people laugh.
His true love in life was the cottage. Other than snowmobiling in the winter, Cam’s true passion was fishing. From a very young age, after being taught by his Grandma Doris, Cam fell in love with it. Numerous fishing trips and numerous fish brought him much enjoyment to his life. His ability to find and land the “big one” was incredible.
Many people to thank during his life. First and foremost the first responders who came to the house on Sunday evening to try and resuscitate Cameron. Although unsuccessful, it was comforting to know that they tried their best. During Cam’s life, those in the school system that understood him and made that extra time for him, many agencies in the past and recently Central West Specialized Development Services (CWSDS), Community Living Oakville (CLO) and Chartwell Lakeshore.
There will be a Visitation at Glen Oaks funeral home on Friday April 14, 2023 from 4pm to 8 pm. Chapel Service will be the following day, Saturday April 15, 2023 at 3 pm at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville. Reception to immediately follow at Boston Pizza, 499 Dundas St. W, Oakville. Please join us so we all can raise our glasses and cheers to Cam.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made to CWSDS Oakville or CLO.
