Don was born in Toronto and was a career fire-fighter for the City of Etobicoke. He retired after 3 decades of service.
He is predeceased by his parents John and Margaret Cavanagh and his beloved wife Laura Faye Cavanagh (nee Gregory) "Bunny".
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons Don (Shobi) and Ken (Beata); his grandchildren Danielle (Clayton), Brittany, Erica (Tyler), Jo-anne (Adam), Usha; his great grand-children Grayson, Cooper, Mack, Jake, Briar, Wyatt; and his siblings, Bev, Aidie and Craig.
In his memory, family and friends will be received at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville on March 17, 2023 from 2 - 3 p.m.. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at 3 p.m. followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Georgetown Hospital Foundation.
