It is with deep sadness that we announce the tragic and sudden passing of Jessica Wyles on March 11, 2023 at the age of 22.
Loving daughter to Karen & Mickey, (Anthony MacDonald), unforgettable niece to Steven & Charlene (Stephen), cousin to Leah & Kenny, adored granddaughter to Derryck & Bernice Wyles (both predeceased), Dave MacDonald (predeceased) & Denise MacDonald, and cherished friend to all who knew her.
From an early age, Jessica was an avid animal lover. Much of her childhood was spent at a barn either riding or simply caring for horses. It was not an unusual site to see Jessie on the back of a horse with a massive grin on her face. Many of the friendships she still has today were fostered through this love of animals and Jessie’s compassion. Jessie also had an intense passion for the environment. Despite the tremendous hard work and sacrifice, Jessie spent not one, but two, seasons of tree planting in British Columbia cultivating friendships and creating a better planet. In her final year at Wilfred Laurier University, Jessie had proven herself to be a talented and enthusiastic writer. She had dedicated her studies to journalism and had recently been published, for a third time, sharing her thought-provoking insights on “The evolution of poetry and Instagram.” Jessie was a fun loving, spunky young woman, who was liked by all. For those who knew her, you may recall her unrivaled will, fierce determination, and multiple hair colours. She had a witty attitude and self confidence beyond her years.
Memorial visitations for Jessica will be at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, ON, L6H 7A8, on Sunday March 26, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, and Monday March 27, 2023 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. A memorial service will follow from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Please join the family for a reception and to celebrate the life of Jessica from 2:00 – 4:00 at Glen Oaks Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, it would be Jessica’s wish that donations be made to Trillium Gift of Life Network in support of the selfless gift of organ & tissue donation made by Jessica.
Please take a moment to share a memory or offer a message of condolence to the family by using the virtual guestbook.

It was with heavy heart that we learned of the tragic loss of Jess and our hearts broke in hearing of her passing. Karen and Mickey, there are no words that can be said to ease this loss for you. We have many fond memories of Jess and she will forever be in our hearts. It was amazing to see what a wonderful young woman she was becoming and that is due to your loving her with all your heart. We will miss seeing her posts, reading her poetry and hearing of her trips planting over summers. She was loved by all and at this time i can only wish you peace and love .
