Obituary Overview

In Loving Memory

It is with deep sadness that we announce our beloved mother Marilyn went to be with God on April 18, 2023. Marilyn will be missed by her husband Alan, her children Amy, Jena, Gabe, Tegan, and Kaden, her sons-in-law Mark and Frank, and her daughter-in-law Jenn. Her grandchildren Callum, Marshall, Hudson, Gwendolyn, Colin, Logan and her sister Nancy will also miss her, along with her beloved dog Abby.

Marilyn will also be lovingly remembered by her neighbours, online friends from her Scrabble league, and her colleagues from her children’s book blog.

Marilyn loved to be out in the garden surrounded by birds and beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed listening to music and dancing in the kitchen.

Marilyn, we love you and you will be forever in our hearts. We trust God to take care of you now.

The family welcomes flowers to be sent for the memorial service. As she loved them so much.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 29th, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Crestview Chapel at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, followed by a gathering at the family home.

The family welcomes flowers to be sent for the memorial service, as Marilyn loved them so much.

So sad to learn that Marilyn has died. I had no idea. I have known Marilyn for almost seventy years. She was such a warm loving person. I will miss our scrabble games and Marilyn’s Facebook posts. My sympathy to her family.
