Obituary Overview
Forever In Our Hearts
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Pat Walsh announces her peaceful passing on April 22, 2023 after a long illness she faced with courage and grace. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, David E. Walsh.
Pat was born February 6, 1948 in Windsor, Ontario, daughter of Esther and Leonard Mailloux and sister to Claude. David and Pat first resided in Oakville, Ontario where Pat worked for Mack Truck and lived near cherished friends David and the Late Anne Marshall. Later Pat and David would move to the Mississauga condo they’ve called home since 1990, a place where wonderful friendships were formed.
Pat loved her summer trips to New Brunswick with David to visit her (late) sisters-in-law: Carol Hubbard, Diane Wetmore, Myrtle Paulin and Patricia Walsh. Trips out east were a chance to visit with her nephews and niece: Gary, Brian, Ty and Lisa.
Pat was a talented baker and fantastic cook, making delicious contributions to the potluck dinners in Courtice with her brother-in-law Keith Walsh, his wife Linda and her nieces Brenda and Julie. Her big laugh was always heard by the neighbours and friends who joined the backyard parties and holiday gatherings.
As a retiree, Pat especially loved being a Snow Bird, migrating to Destin, Florida, each winter to walk on the beach, soak up the sun and visit with friends, new and old.
The most favourite part of Pat’s life was spending time with her husband “Dave”, baking him his favourite muffins and always being by his side for their happy and fulfilling life together.
Cremation has taken place.
There will be a Memorial Service on Wednesday June 7th at 10:30 am at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 231 Morden Road, Oakville, ON, L6K 2S2 with a reception to follow.
Donations may be made in her memory to The War Amps. In order for the family to receive acknowledgement of your donation, please indicate David's address on the donations cards: David Walsh, 45 Kingsbridge Circle, Suite 805, Mississauga, Ontario, L5R 3K4.
