Sincere condolences to the family and friends of our dearly departed Past District Governor (PDG) Lion Sam (Samuel) Kwasi Anyan DAKO, who served as President of his Mississauga Central Lions Club 2006-07, Zone 6A Chairperson 2007-08, Region 6 Chairperson 2008-10, A-711 District Lions Opportunities for Youth Chairperson 2010-11, Vice District Governor 2010-12, District Governor 2012-13, District Honorary Committee Chairperson 2013-14, District Convention Chairperson 2014-15, District Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF) Coordinator 2015-18, Mississauga Central Lions Club LCIF Coordinator 2018-21, and District Nominations & Elections Committee Chairperson 2020-21 until his unfortunate passing.

A dedicated Lion for over 20+ years, he was the recipient of Judge Brian Stevenson Award and Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF).

We mourn his loss with his loving wife Lion Veronica, children (Gifty, Daniel, and Collins), grandchildren (Tiger Kwesi and Darea), and many other relatives, friends and Lions family - members of the Mississauga Central Lions Club in particular and all our Lions of District A-711, Multiple District A (Ontario), and Lions Clubs International (LCI).

Do take solace that "when someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure", "death ends a life, not a relationship".

May God grant peace to his departed soul and strength to the family members to bear the loss.

In sorrow :( Lion Tebo Richards District Governor A711 2020-21

Dear PDG Lion Sam, Thank you for being such a great individual with a very giving heart. Every time I met you, you were always smiling, on Sundays when Dan and I walked into church your smile and hello was indeed a blessing.
At our Lions Functions it was the same thing. I remember our last meet up was at a church BBQ for volunteers, and you had just come from your Lions Club - Farmer's Market service activity. That there was dedication! I was impressed!
As a believer it is never good bye.... We shall meet on the other side! Amen

My Fellow Lion and brother in Christ...... I will always cherish your big smile, your husky voice, your comforting demeanor. You were the first District Governor to honour me with the International President's Certificate. During my ascension to District Governorship, I knew I could always call on you for support and advice.

I will surely miss your always welcoming embrace/hug. Who shall I chat with in the lobby after the Sunday services at Portico Church? Who shall listen to me, with patience, when I rant about life and Lions?

Rest in peace PDG Sam Dako. Rest in peace my brother in Christ. I will miss for many years to come. My heart is still bleeding. But my solace is that you knew our Lord and Saviour. I will therefore meet you the other side.

Our deepest condolences to Lion Veronica and the entire Dako family from Lion Lynn and I.

As a member of the Mississauga Central Lions Club I have known and worked with PDG Sam for almost fourteen years. Sam was a hard working Lion well known in our District. As a fellow Past District Governor we worked on many projects that have aided our community.

It is truly a shock that we have lost this valuable member of our family too soon.

My deepest condolences to the family on your loss. May Samuel rest in peace, and his memory comfort you all as you fight through this tough time. Although I have never met him personally, through working with his son, you can see the type of man he was, and the influence that he had on his children and those around him. His memory lives on through all of you.

May god give him eternal peace.

Ruben
