It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Suraj Kanta Gupta on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023. She passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her husband, Krishan Kumar Gupta; her three children, Rana Gupta, Prem (Paul) Gupta and daughter-in-law Andie, and Sunil (nee Gupta) Rocci and Son-in-law Adrian Rocci. She also was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her four grandchildren Jasmine Rocci, Nicolas Rocci, Prem Gupta and Arjun Gupta.
After being born in Sultanpur Lodhi, India, Suraj immigrated to Canada in 1963. Throughout her years, she fiercely took care of her family, all while working several different jobs with her teaching background and Counselling for the adult developmentally challenged. She was committed to her faith, and after moving to Oakville, ON in 1989, was a highly involved member of the Vaishno Devi Mandir. Suraj was extremely selfless, always helping whoever she could. And above was an exceptionally loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be forever remembered and greatly missed. May her beautiful soul rest in peace. Jai Mata Di
The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home 3164 Ninth Line Oakville at 3:00 pm on Monday, May 8, 2023. Family and friends are invited to start gathering at 2:30 pm on Monday prior to the service.
