It was with great sadness Yvonne & I learned of your passing. We were both lost for words over the news of the tragic accident.
You were my neighbour & a good friend, even though life got in the way & didn't get to hang around like we use to. We always thought of you & hoped you were doing well.
Words cannot express our feeling.
Your friends & neighbor
Dave & Yvonne Cockburn
I was shocked to hear of John's passing the other day. I have not seen John in close to 20 years as we lost touch but always considered him a friend. I first met John in high school in Oshawa. We became fast friends and he was soon living with me as he needed a place to stay. I have many great memories of John but probably our most memorable time was staying at his mom's in Innisfil and going to see Metallica at Molson Park. Just one of many fun times we had together. John will be missed. My condolences go to all his family and friends.
Rest in peace John
Your friend always
John, I am still in complete shock! I am praying for you, that the Lord has taken you into His loving arms. My prayers are also going out to Uncle Mike, Aunt Judy, Dwayne, Sharon, Tracey and all of our cousins and family. I wish I could be there to pay my respects and to say my good bye. And also to share stories of our childhood and comfort all of our family. May you Rest in Peace Cuz!
My favourite memory was of playing darts at the trailer. There were a lot of us so we played a game called Asshole. The objective is to shoot a higher score then the person in front of you. My daughter (21) was in front of him and kept getting extremely high scores. At one point he turned to her and asked “ Isn’t it past your bedtime?”
I first met John in May of this year when he purchased the trailer next door to me. The first time we spoke i knew from that moment on we were going to be close. Quickly our friendship grew to the point where i considered him a brother to me. I looked forward to getting to hang out every weekend whether it was playing Darts, hanging by the bonfire, or sharing our morning coffees together. He taught me how to have fun again and just laugh...and laugh we did. His never forgettable LAUGH! Never before have i gotten so close to someone in such a short period of time. I am a better person today for knowing him and will continue to live by his core values... I DON'T LIE, I DON'T CHEAT & I DON'T STEAL. You were taken from us far too so but feel blessed to have known you. Rest In Peace Johnny !!!
