In Loving Memory of Mr. Santana Cosmas Dias

In Loving Memory

It is with deep sadness, the Dias Family announces the peaceful passing of Santana Mariano Cosmas Dias on February 5th, 2019.

San, as many of his friends called him, was born on September 27th, 1935 to Angelica and Anthony Dias.

The foundation of his life was God and Family. He had a very strong work ethic, yet enjoyed the fun aspects of life like music, movies, fine dining and travelling.

He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 58 years Ernestine (Ernie), their children (Jess, Sandra, Stephanie and Joe), sons-in-law (Colin, Brian and Chris), grandchildren (Danielle, Jeremy, Adam, Amanda, Ryan and Blake), sister Charlotte and brother-in-law Robert, and many cherished friendships with extended family, friends and colleagues.

San, YOU ARE LOVED! We know you are at peace with your parents and family listening to the sweetest music in Heaven!

Visitation will be held at Highland Funeral Home (3280 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough) on Friday, February 8th, 2019 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. The Funeral Mass is being held at St. Lawrence The Martyr Roman Catholic Church (2210 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto) on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 at 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. Too many memories to count - from my communion to my marriage - you were always there. Demir and I are grateful. Auntie Ernie, Jess, Sandra, Steph, Joe and families - our deepest sympathies for your loss. The girls took to him and talked about him all of the time. He will always be our Uncle San.

San, we will miss you. You were a pillar of strength, courage, patience, generous, kind, loving father figure of the family. You was always there in time of need , any time of the day, night, rain or sunshine. I am not going to say rest in peace, R.I.P. You may rest awhile. Then you will be rejoicing in heaven. So, dear brother in law, be at peace and REJOICE IN HEAVEN.
