Passed away peacefully on January 26, 2021 at the age of 72 years. Abb is survived by his beloved spouse of 35 years, Georgette. Cherished father of Albert Steven Naklie. Surviving family members Fraser Naklie (brother), Leila Denouden (sister), Debra Naklie (sister-in-law), Peter Denouden (brother-in-law). Predeceased by his mother Mabel and father Albert. My father Abb Naklie had many passions and interests in life, he loved working with computers as a child and went to school for computer technology. He had a very rewarding career as a computer technician. He loved music and for as long as I can remember my father, he would love playing his piano and it gave him great joy and pleasure. As time went on he became very interested in and developed a love for astronomy and he would spend a great deal of time looking at the sky and stars through his telescopes. My father was the greatest and kindest man I knew. He loved his family and lived his life as a compassionate and gentle soul. Arrangements entrusted to the Janisse Funeral Home (1139 Ouellette Ave., 519-253-5225). A private Graveside Service will be held at 3 pm on Friday. A livestream of the Graveside Service may be viewed on Abb’s personal webpage on the Janisse Funeral Home website. www.janissefuneralhome.ca . My sincere condolences to Georgette, his children and extended family. I have known Abb since we attended W.D.Lowe Secondary school. We were also in the same program at St. Clair College. He and I drove together to the college and saved me from an1 1/2 hour bus ride. Always polite, courteous, am optimist with a good sense of humour. Abb was the type of person that would not hurt a fly. After graduation we would encounter each other every now and then. We would catch up with what we had done since we last saw each other. In the recent years I was invited to join him and other high school grads for coffee. He was good company. An all around great guy.
