Tante Soumaya was a strong, smart, and caring lady. I will always remember her as a teacher, woman of God and devoted to the Catholic Church. She always made time to help and teach you new things. As a young man, I was taught to always be respectful or else I might encounter the infamous slipper! She loved to sew clothing, and other intricate things I fondly remember many visits to the textile stores as a young boy where she would buy material and get new patterns to make new clothing! She was always so resourceful. We will miss the visits, prayers, and good memories shared. I was lucky to have her meet my wife Bre and son Elliott. She was always so happy to see them. We now have another angel in heaven. Rest In Peace Tante Soumaya, we will miss you. Please hug Taita and Gido for me.
Tante Soumaya was a pillar of strength, commitment, and kindness. When she walked into a room you felt her presence and when she gave you the Tante Soumaya glance it left you frozen in your action. I am so grateful to have such an amazing woman in my life. The picture is of my Tante Soumaya, Mayme, and my beloved Mom. Sisterhood ❤️❤️❤️
