It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Burnett Saturday, April 1st, 2023 at the age of 80. After a long battle with dementia, he is now at peace and resting.
David is survived by his loving wife Linda (Holst). Beloved father of Paul, Cheryl, Richard, and Sara (Mo Migahed). Proud and loving grandfather of Jackson, Youssef, and Yasmina. He is survived by his sister Mary (Mike Stanko) and predeceased by his brother Bill. He will be sorely missed by his niece and nephew Alicia and Matthew.
David was a kind soul. He loved watching sports, curling, and above all else his family. He was a man of few words, but his smile lit up the room.
Funeral services entrusted to Kelly Funeral Home, Barrhaven Chapel, 3000 Woodroffe Ave, (613-823-4747). A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

To Linda, Paul, Cheryl, Richard, Sara, Family Members & Friends,
The members of the Canadian Forces Supplementary Radio (SUPRAD) System Oldtimers Association were saddened by the news of Dave's passing. Those who served with Dave during his loyal service in the Canadian Forces will forever remember his friendship and the enjoyable times that were shared. Please know that as members of your extended military family, we will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Worked with Dave at the RCMP for a bit before his retirement from there. He was our ponytail operator, no nonsense person. Such a nice person. He did a good part of my training, as I had just started. I really enjoyed working with him.
All my condolences to his family and friends.
