I had the pleasure of working with Martin during his I.T. days with xwave and Bell Public Safety. I really enjoyed working with him... he was always so kind, positive and carried a big, genuine, smile. I was so happy to hear he was able to join the Fire Service as he had wanted. I can just imagine the amazing team member he was to have on board there!

My deepest condolences to Martin's family, friends and Fire brothers and sisters. He was an amazing guy. Rest easy, Martin.

I worked with Martin when he was with Bell Public Safety, and always appreciated his energy, positive spirit and sense of fun. So glad he realized his dream of becoming a firefighter. My sincere sympathies to all his loved ones, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I worked with Marty at station 22 for a couple of years and I was out training on the ice last week. It was a beautiful sunny day. The last time that I had such a great day on the ice was with Marty a few years before. We were running over the ice floes, falling into the river, climbing back out again, doing rescues and enjoying the beautiful spring day.

I'll miss you're energy, laugh and breakfasts at Ralph's. R.I.P Brother.
