It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Marie de Grace. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Mark de Grace on Jan. 2, 2002.
Marie was born in Kingman, Ab. Marie and Mark were married in Camrose, Ab. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Picture Butte, Ab. before settling in Calgary. Marie was a founding member of St. Michael’s Catholic community and an active CWL member for many years.
Mom loved knitting and joined the Knitting Guild in 1993. She loved all the knitting retreats. We will treasure her socks, dishwash clothes and sweaters forever. Can anyone patch my socks? And, the family thank you all for being such an awesome friend to mom. Marie’s greatest joys were her Grandchildren: Costas (Julia), Marie (Ron), Mark (Lisa), Jeffrey and Robbi-Lee and her Great Granddaughter Francesca. Marie was also blessed with the love and support of many nieces and nephew. She will be missed by all of them.
A private service and interment will be held at a later date.
Condolences from family and friends

I miss you already - the phone calls, the visit now and then - and all of the memories and good laughs. Our knitting together, our bus tours together - and one unfortunate tour - Marie could always get us into trouble and get us to laugh and have fun.
My deepest sympathy goes to the entire family, near and far. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great grand children who were so good at keeping in touch and sharing photos.
I am thinking of all of you, some I have met and same not. Beth
Lots of love to all. Beth
I’ll miss you forever grandma. I’ll never forget all of our special memories together. Lunch everyday when I went to Mount Royal, spending that summer with you when I went to camp, all of the stories we shared with each other- I’ll cherish it all forever. You left a beautiful impact here on earth with your kind and gentle nature. Thank you for being my grandma.
