I met Izzy at the grade nine dance. He stole my bag and made me chase him around the school for it. It was endless picking on each other after that. He was one of my first friends when moving to Ontario. Isiah was bright, funny, loving and kind. He has never failed to be there on rainy days and even the sunniest days he was there to see me shine. I carried him through civics and careers because I knew if I was passing he was too. He showed me loyalty like no one ever has. The love he had for his boys and his family has showed me that love is not only blood. He was younger than me in age but older in soul. He made a home for me and my nephews during the summer days at the circle. He was the one to encourage me to play basketball and get out more. I remember the late nights and early mornings I’d need a shoulder to cry on and he was always ready to get picked up and get food to talk. He’s taught me many life lessons and has been there for me through my toughest times in high school and after. Im grateful to have had an angel in my life. I love you Izzy and miss you more everyday.
