Dan was a big part of my childhood, he always had such a jolly spirit. Peace and acceptance to his loved ones and hopefully this image from our Balmy Beach school play will make you smile.

Dearest Lara and family, I am deeply saddened by the loss of Dan. He was the sweetest, kindest, most hilarious and passionate soul I ever knew. The first thing about Dan that stands out in my memories of him was how much he loved Lara. He loved her so much and that love was unstoppable. He was always there for her. No matter what. He always wanted to be by her side even if it was while she hung out with me and her other girlfriends, he would jump right in and do our hair. Braids, ponytails, etc. My sister, Erika remembers this detail so clearly. We would hang out in Mickey and Gord’s basement watching Scarface, and he would be braiding someone’s hair. He was always up for fun and so devoted to Lara, their beautiful boys, and their extended family and friends. I keep hearing the warm sound of his voice in my mind. Dan, we will never forget you, never stop loving you and will remember you always. Rest In Peace dear friend.
