It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Bob Morris on March 23rd, 2022 in his 92nd year. He passed away at home with his loving wife and family by his side. His fervor for life present to the end. Born on September 3rd,1930 in Drimoleague, County Cork, Ireland. Second oldest of eleven, he grew up in the hardworking environment of his family's dairy farm.
In 1955 Bob immigrated to Toronto. 4 years later he married the adventurous Nova Scotia native Norma Johnstone after impressing her with his Irish charm. Together they welcomed five sons and enjoyed 62 blessed years of marriage.
Bob was well known and loved by neighbours and community. Involving himself with the Topham Park Minor Softball Association well beyond his own kids' participation as equipment manager, coach, and fan. Avid travellers, Bob and Norma visited over 30 countries together. Food often being Bob's highlight of these (mis)adventures. And if they could add a baseball or hockey game to the itinerary, all the better. Bob is remembered for his quiet but kind nature, generous heart, and meticulous routine. The loss will surely be felt by all lucky enough to have known him.
He leaves behind devoted wife Norma Morris and sons Gregory (Jillian), Stephen (Trisha), Brian, and John. Cherished grandchildren Hannah, Alannah, Aaron, and AJ. Predeceased by his eldest son Robert James and infant daughter. Also survived by siblings Peggy, Kitty, Ann, Jim, Carmel, and Frances.
Friends and family will be received at McDougall and Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, on Wednesday March 30,2022 from 11am-1pm for visitation. Funeral service to follow 1-2pm. By family request, donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or charity of your choice.
While the family wishes you could all be with them in their time of loss, they appreciate your kind words and condolences. Please leave a condolence by clicking on the GUESTBOOK tab above.

My deepest sympathies to Norma, Greg, Stephen, Brian, John & extended Morris family on the passing of Uncle Bob. Always a pleasure to see him on his frequent trips home to West Cork. A man with a great zest for life. May he rest in peace.
