I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jack. I walked with Jack for many years until my dog passed away. We kept in touch but not nearly as often as we should have. I have many happy memories of our daily walks. From hauling picnic tables up ravines and carrying out heavy trees to piling our dogs in his van only to almost end up in the ditch to prevent a dog scuffle, the memories are endless. Jack treated me like a daughter. He bought us matching rain suits for our walks so no matter the weather, we were out there. We would walk for hours, never running out of conversation. We would later head to his house where Cathy would make us lunch and the conversations would continue. I'm sure Taz and Archie are being spoiled with love. My heartfelt sympathy to Cathy and family. Please know that he will always be remembered with much love. I have been truly blessed to of had such a special person in my life.

Reading the comments of people that knew Jack, paint a true picture of his character. I don't think in all the time that I was in his company, hearing him mention an acquaintance in a bad way. Jack and I were related, his grandfather and my grandfather were brothers. I was lucky when I immigrated to Canada, Cathy and Jack always went out their way to help me and for that I will always have a place in my heart for them both. Goodnight young man, you will be missed.
