I will always remember Mrs. Ziegler from church, she was just an amazing woman and someone I always wanted to be just like! I had moved away and saw her three years ago and she still knew who I was. An amazing woman and an amazing life, my deepest condolences!

My sincere condolences to all of Leah's immediate and extended families. As one of her 'bus kids' and growing up as her neighbour, it was always wonderful to see Leah and enjoy a delightful conversation with her. Her life is truly an inspiration to all of us.

Our memories of Leah are fond ones and go back to the years we were neighbours in Shepard. We remember Leah as a caring, positive person, a very hard worker and an energetic community contributor. Our most recent cherished memories are the enjoyable times we shared with Leah and Suzie when Darrel and I would deliver Leah's annual Christmas turkey. Our visits were always interesting, often discussing gardening and of course we caught up on her family's lives and Suzie's latest adventures. Upon leaving Leah blessed us with a delicious Christmas fruitcake, one of many, she had baked. Leah lived a remarkable life, our live are enriched having known her.

Was du im Leben hast gegeben,
dafür ist jeder Dank zu klein.
Du hast gesorgt für deine Lieben,
von früh bis spät, tagaus, tagein.
Du warst im Leben so bescheiden,
nur Pflicht und Arbeit kanntest du,
mit allem warst du stets zufrieden,
drum schlafe sanft in stiller Ruh'.

I have such fond memories of your mother. She was always so friendly and caring and supremely proud of her family. We dropped in to visit her a few years ago and always intended to return but unfortunately never made it. However, I did speak to her on the phone a few times and she always seemed so pleased to hear from me.
She has been on my mind recently and I was trying to determine how to contact someone from the family to find out how she was doing. I’m so sorry I wasn’t successful. You were so blessed to have Leah for a Mother and Grandmother.
God bless her.

Leah was an amazing individual and a huge influence in our lives. We are blessed to have known Leah throughout our lives through Holy Trinity Church, Chestermere
4-H Beef Club, bus rides to sports events and shop/home economics in Airdrie, and countless community events. Leah was always there to encourage and support the young people in the community and as we grew up, she never lost interest in what we were doing. Leah will remain forever in our hearts.

Daryl & I are so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear Mom, Vince. As you know, I grew up in Forest Lawn and knew your Mom & Dad from church and CWL. She was a very hardworking & loving lady, who always had a good word to say to you. Our deepest and sincere sympathies to the whole Ziegler family.

Leah was a great inspiration to a lot of people in the Shepard Community, me being one. I've known Leah from being a young pre schooler. She was always busy at home on the farm and driving us kids to school. Everyone's friend, what a great person to have in our lives!!!
