With profound sadness we announce the passing of Paz San Miguel, beloved wife of the late Mr. Marciano San Miguel, at Clifton Manor in Calgary on June 14, 2020 at the age of 91 years.

Paz will be remembered with love by her children: Adelaida San Miguel, Dante San Miguel, Marciano San Miguel Jr., Angelita Pascual, Joseph San Miguel, and Anabelle San Miguel; her twenty-five grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her loving family in Canada and Philippines, her loving friends at the Golden Generation Seniors of Calgary, and the care staff at Clifton Manor. Paz was predeceased by her husband Marciano San Miguel and her sons Danilo San Miguel and Eric San Miguel.

Paz San Miguel was born in Guinodaton, Albay, Philippines, the 3rd from the eldest of 12 siblings. She met her husband Marciano San Miguel in high school and had 8 beautiful children. A funny woman at heart, she always saw the brighter positive things in life. A doting and loving grandmother, Paz helped care and raise over 25 grandchildren. She was adored by her friends and was an active member of the Golden Generation Seniors of Calgary where she enjoyed her activities. A strong woman who had a sharp mind up until the day she passed, she was a fighter and true matriarch of the San Miguel family.

Visitation and Prayers will take place at Mountain View Funeral Home (Prairie View Chapel, 1605 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Please note due to the COVID-19 restrictions, there is a maximum capacity of 100 people.
