Raymond Snajnar, beloved Father, Papa, Brother and Uncle passed away suddenly at the Foothills Hospital on Monday, April 13, 2020 at the age of 81 years.

He was the loving father of Valerie Lee Snajnar and adoring Papa of Rae Tatiana Snajnar, also survived by his son Raymond Snajnar Jr. and grandson Rylan Snajnar. He will also be lovingly remembered by sisters Lynne Ellenberger and Vivian (Larry) Kalorud as well as nieces Belinda (Jim) Schmidt, Shelly Smith, Denise (Scott) Skinner, Natasha Kabrud, Vanessa (Jason) Bajema; nephews Darwin Ellenberger and Nathan (Amberly) Kabrud as well as many great nieces and nephews; special family friends Patrick Krause and Marie Lou Clark. He was predeceased by his mother Tiny Snajnar, father Karl Snajnar, sister Charlotte Shunaman, brother Ronald Snajnar, brothers-in-law Garth Shunamon and Blain Ellenberger and nephew Clayton Hodges.

Raymond was born in Coronach, Saskatchewan in 1939. Later in life, he moved West to Calgary, AB where he married and had two children which, he then proudly raised on his own. Raymond mostly worked construction. He was very much a family man, and a very loyal friend. Raymond always kept in contact with his sisters whom he very much adored. Raymond had an unbreakable bond with his daughter and granddaughter who was named after him, and he was extremely proud of this. Raymond enjoyed completing little task for people, he took great pride in making other people’s lives easier each day. Raymond was a social butterfly who loved to chat and chuckle with friends and family. Anyone who met Raymond, fell in love with him for his love for everyone around him and the pride he took in himself each and every day. They also couldn’t help but to fall in love with his fun personality. Anyone who had Raymond in their lives could consider themselves extremely lucky.

In keeping with Raymond’s wishes, he will be laid to rest in his hometown beside his parents.

My father was my everything he was my dad my mom my protector my very very best friend. He was so gentle and loving and kind. I will never meet a man that could compare to this amazing man. God bless you my daddy I love you forever and I can’t wait to see you again ❤️
