It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Violet “Vi” Gilmour, beloved wife of the late Thomas Melville Gilmour, at Agecare Glenmore on May 30, 2020 at the age of 95 years.
Vi will be lovingly remembered by her children: Terry (Cheryl) of Kelowna, Jim (Peggy) of Carsland, Bob (Wendy) of Calgary, and Dwight (Gail) of Calgary; thirteen grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. She will also be dearly missed by her sister Doreen Montgomery, her brother Bob Baker, and her sister-in-law Shirley Manifold. Vi was predeceased by her husband Thomas and her brother Bud.
Vi was a wonderful knitter, making amazing afghans for family and friends. She loved music, animals, and all family gatherings. Vi was a joyful and happy friend, and made the best ginger snaps in the world!
