Christie Wityszyn August 12 1974 - August 13 2019 Christie passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Christie was diagnosed with brain cancer in January of 2015. She fought a brave and dignified battle with humility and her own special sense of humour for almost 5 years. But she has now lost the fight with this relentless disease. Christie will forever be remember by her devoted husband Dave, her Mother Sue Duchesnay, Father Scot Duchesnay (Martha), Sister Niki Duchesnay (Grant), Uncle Charlie Duchesnay (Kim and Kara), Grandmother Irene Duchesnay, Mother and Father-In-Law, Rosemary and Peter Wityszyn, Brother-In-Law Jason Wityszyn (Jordan, Joshua and Judy) and Aunt-In-Law Maureen McGuire. Christie will be cremated, as per her wishes, and a celebration of life will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby Ontario, on Saturday August the 24th 2019 from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. This will be a true celebration as Christie would have it no other way, so please come casually dressed and bring your great memories of Christie. We are truly saddened by your enormous Loss. The loss of a Wife and/or Child at this young age is truly hard to fathom and never supposed to happen. We know that you have many amazing memories that will keep you going and give you the strength you will need to adjust to a new life without Christie. She is be missed by so many. I will never forget Christie, when she would visit me at the employee store on her lunches sometimes daily lol!!! we would have such a laugh her humour and sarcasm was the best. Christie always was there to lend me a helping hand and I will never forget that.
She truly has a kind heart , and she will be missed by many. May she rest peace
