I have no words for the loss I feel with the sudden passing of my Uncle Norman. I picture him now waiting for me at "the big black stump" accompanied by my Grandpa Albert, Grandpa Jack with a fresh game of Monopoly and a juicy caterpillar. My love for Uncle Norman will never die.

To Maryjane and family our sincerest condolences on the loss of your husband. Norm was a cousin of mine who I truly respected. When I was informed of his passing I was truly shocked to hear a young man of his age had left us. To his mother, aunt Gladys and his brothers William and Gordon please know that our thoughts are with you. Ken & Gail Mehew

i remember saying to Norm while sitting on his back deck...Dawn and i could use a roof over our deck like yours...a couple of days later, a deal was struck { Norm was in between Printing gigs one summer, with some time on his hands).so,over a few days time...a railing and a 30 degree roof attched to the back of our house went up,,with a plexiglass clear panel roof to let the light in.
On one of those days i had come home from work,,stepped into the kitchen and looked towards the backyard through the big dining room glass window,,,Norm was standing in the back yard..clear as if no window was there..because it wasn't.. a 2 by 6 had slipped and ,yup.right through the window.
The Job got finished and for many years Dawn and i enjoyed having that roof over the back deck,,we still remark even after having moved from across the street from Norm and Mary Jane,Michelle and Kris after 20 years, that was our favorite room ( although not in the house ). The Roof that Norm Built...
He will be missed,,Gary , Dawn and Jason Hammond

I'm Shocked & Saddened to hear of Norms passing.

I worked with Norm for many years on The Toronto Star's night shift.
Norm had a Great Sense of Humor, & a Light Heartedness, that was infectious. Norm was always a
Pleasure to work with.
As his Family & Friends know , Norm had a Great Love of Music. I was one of a privileged few
that had the pleasure of playing guitar & sharing some laughs with Norm on our lunch breaks.
Those were Fun Times. Those Memories will stay with me forever.

My Deepest Condolences to Norms Family, & Friends .
Norm will Truly be Missed by All who knew & Loved Him.

Norm You Will Always be a Class Act.

Andy Stark.

Mary Jane...I was SO saddened to hear of Norm's sudden passing. I enjoyed my visits to your house with Leanne when I came to visit her, and I remember Norm as such a pleasant, caring and happy guy. I am so sorry for your loss. Life is so fragile, and I am praying that you will receive the strength you need to get through this difficult time. May you be comforted in knowing that he is in your heart, and the wonderful memories you shared with him will bring peace to you. Love to all of you. Kelly Schultz

Dear MJ, Kris, and Michelle,

Please accept my sincere condolences on the sudden passing of Norm. I have enjoyed working with MJ for over 20 years now and got to know Norm a bit more when a few of us started riding motorcycles in 2003 around the office. He was the seasoned pro that came out to ride with us and always shared some great advice and passion for the open road. While I cannot imagine what you are going through now, please know that there are so many of us here that will help keep his memory alive with you. He was a great example to us all of how to love life, family, and music!

Steve, Vivian, and Alex
