Gulenchyn, Olga (Proud Ukrainian Canadian and long time member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Oshawa), passed away peacefully with family by her side at Hillsdale Terrace on Sunday December 31, 2017 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late John Gulenchyn and caring mother to Karen (Gerry Lynes) and John (Pam). Devoted Baba to Emily Lynes (Aaron Schooler), Meredith Lynes (Robert Gora), Alison Lynes (Troy Ginter), Nicholas Gulenchyn (Jessica), and Madeline Gulenchyn (Brian Everts). Proud PraBaba to Jack and Everett Gora, and Emerson Ginter. Sister to Elsie Shields (Gord), and sister-in-law to Marie Gulenchyn and Helen Hruska. Olga will be sadly missed by her extended family, friends and all who knew her. Remembrances may be made in Olga’s name to a charity of your choice. Special thanks is extended to all the staff at Hillsdale Terrace in Oshawa.

My heart goes out to you for your loss. I have so many happy memories of your Mum from Redstone Lake. It takes a community to raise a child and your Mum along with Annie and Vera were my other Mom's. Olga could always be counted along to dispense wise advice along with an aero bar or two. Mum enjoyed her trip to England with Olga and the many games of scrabble at the cottage. Winter weekends on the lake with your family are also treasured memories.
