TIEDEMA, Olive, (nee Bousquet), (Skura) Peacefully on Friday April 13, 2018 at Guildwood Extendicare at the age of 90. Sadly missed by her children Sharon (Robert), Denise (Ed), Eric (Sue), Greg (Pat), Steven (Virginia), and Len. Loving remembered by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear sister of Annette. Mum was a fighter from the start, born at home in St. Boniface weighing 2 lbs 2 oz. to become a Senator of the Metis Nation of Ontario. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Extendicare who looked after our mother with love. Mum, our lives will never be the same without you. A celebration of her Life will take place on May 6th, 2018 from 2 - 4 p.m. at 20 Guildwood Parkway, Scarborough. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.

I recall the many times we laughed while we shared our experiences currently as well as both of us growing up in Manitoba. She was always full of energy and continued to provide a great vision forward for the various indigenous organizations she assisted.
