BODDY, Ruth Doris, It is with sad hearts, but wonderful memories, that we announce the passing of Ruth Boddy on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Norman Boddy. Loving mother of Garry Boddy (Judy), Linda Ball (Keith) and Brian Boddy (Laurel). Cherished grandmother of Sandra Snelgrove (Paul), Cathy Chapman (Tim), Elaine Roache (Mike), Karen Caranci (Dom), Steven Ball (Jaime), Chris Boddy (Amanda), Craig Boddy (Amy) and great-grandmother of 20 great grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers Merle and Ken and sisters Marie and Wilma. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, her many extended family and friends. Thanks to the staff of Sunny crest Nursing Home for many years of caring for Ruth. Relatives and friends will be received at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (North of Hwy 2) on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 7-9 pm and Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 1:30-2:30 pm. Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in the chapel at 2:30 pm. Interment Mount Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society of Durham Region or the SickKids Foundation would be appreciated. Notes of condolence and memories may be shared at www.mountlawn.ca

We saw Mrs. Boddy’s every week while she was our grandmother’s neighbour at Sunnycrest (Alberta Hurst). We appreciated her smiling greetings and also your condolences when Gram passed, and wanted to pass on our condolences to your family.
