My sincere condolences to the family. Wally was such a positive person and always came into work with a huge smile on his face. I will never forget all of the talks we've had and also how we would always joke around with one another. Wally gave off such a positive energy whenever he was around and it lifted everyone. Whenever he left the office I would say "Have a great night" and his response would be "You have a better one!" until I switched it around and used it on him, it lit up his face knowing that I started to use his wording on him.
He showed me many articles which he wrote and was very proud of the work he had done and also shared many memories he had while writing for the sports industry. Wally I know you're resting now with a cold one in your hand.
You will be missed but I will hold all of the memories in my heart.
Rest in paradise Wally!
Lots of Generals bus rides in the day ! You had your own unique way were very passionate about your articles and were a great supporter of all athletes! You had a way of making a trivial accomplishment seem very important for the athlete! I would run to you when you wanted an interview because you made us seem important !! Will miss your energy your in a better place now prayers to your family !!
