Jeffrey and I were friends for the longest of time. I had spoke with him just after his birthday and he never told me that he was ill, other than the occasional aches. He was the adoptive father of my son Joashua and loved by us both very much. Yes, he had a great sense of humor and always had a good joke. I just got his Chanukah card returned to me today 🙀imagine my surprise when it says deceased 😓 Jeffrey always spoke so kindly about you, Barbara, and I knew Daddy Jack ( had a few dinners together) Now they are together…💕. Jeffrey will greatly be missed 🥰
Barb - I just found out today from a friend that Jeff had passed away earlier this year. As a neighbour on Longfellow Ave., my brother Ron and I shared lots of good times with Jefferey. I got involved in Sea Cadets briefly with Jeff because we wanted to be in the bugle band (we were both drummers). We also played drums in the Massey cadet band. Ron and I and a couple of other kids from the neighbourhood attended Jeff's bar mitzvah and that was quite an experience for kids of our age. I will remember Jeff for his great sense of humour - always kept us laughing. My condolences.
