With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Dr. Lynn Margaret Marshall On April 14th, 2022 at the age of 79. Lynn was married to her soul mate and live-long friend Larry Marshall for 57 years and they were blessed with two loving sons, Thomas and Bryan Marshall. Predeceased by her parents Lenore Tilley nee McCann and Gordon Tilley. She is remembered by her brother David Tilley, and her nephews Greg and Douglas. 

Lynn will also be missed by so many friends from across the world, colleagues both near and far, and patients who relied on her passion to help them heal.

Dr. Lynn Marshall earned her M.D. from Queen's University and her Fellowship in the American Academy of Environmental Medicine. She also successfully completed ten Masters courses in Epidemiology at the University of Toronto. She is a Staff physician and Medical Education Liaison and the past Medical Director of the University of Toronto- affiliated with the Environmental Health Clinic at Women's College Hospital. She has had a tremendously successful career as a physician spanning over 55 years working in comprehensive Family Medicine, Occupational Medicine, Environmental Medicine, General Practice Psychotherapy/Hypnotherapy, and Epidemiological Research. Not only that, she was involved with the Hypersensitivities Research Unit in Toronto, an Assistant Professor of the Department of Family and Community Medicine, and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto and also of the Clinical Sciences Division of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. She has also designed numerous courses for undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels that continue to be utilized today.

Dr. Lynn Marshall was recognized throughout her career by being published in several peer-reviewed scientific papers and reports and honored as a Life Member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada. As well as being elected, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine in Great Britain and the Canadian Society for Clinical Hypnosis. She was the recipient of numerous awards in Environmental Medicine and Psychotherapy and of special note won the Red Cross Power of Humanity award which was presented to her by Queen Noor of Jordan. Lynn was a member of numerous organizations that directly impacted Environmental medicine across Canada, including the Environmental Health Institute of Canada, the Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care and the Canadian Partnership for Children’s Health and Environment.

Just as Lynn‘s professional life was successful and gratifying so was her personal life. Lynn loved her boys with all her heart and they will miss their mother dearly. When Lynn married “her Larry” she also married into a very large extended family of over forty plus cousins and soon became the heartbeat and our source of unconditional love. For more than 20 years, young and old looked forward to Lynn and Larry hosting the annual barbeque and Christmas party all of which fuelled and strengthened the family bond. Lynn had a love of life, passion for nature and a never ending spirit for adventure. She was much loved and will be deeply missed by her entire family. She will never be forgotten.

A big thank you to the staff at Post Inn Village for the care and compassion they offered not only to Lynn but to the entire family during her time there. Special thank you to Reddy Harwat and to her family Physician of more than 27 years Dr Margaret Found.

Lynn Margaret Marshall was one of a kind and irreplaceable.
