Mrs. Janet Emily Hoare

Our dear mother and grandmother Janet Emily Hoare (Grepe) passed away on April 28, 2023 at the age of 87. Born and raised in Toronto, she moved to Deep River to work at AECL, where she met her husband. After a few years, the couple moved to Cobourg to start their family. Janet was a devoted wife, mum and gran who was always there when we needed her. Before she retired and moved to Oakville, she enjoyed working at the Cobourg Medical Centre for many years. She was predeceased by her parents Frederick, Gladys and Agnes Grepe, her husband Michael Hoare, her sister Margaret Grepe and many dear friends. She is survived by her children John Hoare (Susan Lee) and Annie Hoare (Michael Livingstone), her cherished granddaughters Charlotte and Sophie Livingstone, her twin brother John Grepe (Gail), her sisters Gillian Churchill (Jack) and Nancy Grepe (Michael Brown) and extended family. The family will recieve friends at Oakview Funeral Home on May 13 from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Special thanks go out to Oakville Hospital, Home and Community Care, Sunrise of Mississauga, and the many caregivers, nurses, paramedics and doctors who helped look after her in her final years. Donations in memory of Janet may be made to Oakville Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice.
