Obituary Overview

Lillian (Lola) Jerome (AH)

Passed away peacefully with family at her bedside on January 20th, 2023 at the age of ninety-seven years old.

Lillian was a beautiful person, born Nov 10th 1925 in Czeladz Poland. She was raised and cared for by her parents Chil and Rochel Strochlitz and had grown up with her siblings Hershel, Regina, Matel and Itcha. She was the only survivor of her family during the Holocaust. She met her husband Irven (Itcha) Jerome and they married in Germany. They then moved to Canada and they would go on to raise five children together: Martin (Rita) Jerome, Harry (the late Barbara) Jerome, Raymond Jerome, Leonard (Edith) Jerome and Allan (Julie) Jerome. She had eight beautiful grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Randy (Marci) Jerome, David (Nitza) Jerome, Jeffrey (Jenny) Jerome, Debra Jerome, Collette and Allene Jerome; Jordan and Gabrielle Jerome.

She also had 14 great grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Sydney and Aiden Jerome; Izzy; Eyal, Prielle, Liam, Batziyon, Nesyah, Tzachala, and Nachal Libby Jerome; Caleb and Evie Jerome.

She was adored by her family who are forever grateful for her unconditional love and generosity. Lillian had a personality that brought out the best in people. Whether she interacted with family, friends or business acquaintances, the first thing people would do is give her a welcoming hug.

Together with her husband they operated a farm in Maidstone, ON for over 25 years.

She and Irven were married for almost 50 years till his passing March 1996. They will now be reunited together side by side in a peaceful reunion.
