Predeceased by Angus her husband of 59 years. Our cherished mother will be missed by surviving sons Ian (Janice) and Mark (Kim) and daughter Jeanette (the late Paul Manning) but will live on forever in our hearts and memories. Loving Grandma to Chelsea & Courtney, beloved Nana to Lauren & Colin. Happily sharing her love of music and art with all of her grandchildren, she was proud of their talents and filled with joy in their presence. Predeceased by her brothers Jack and Harold, sister-in-law Edith and niece JoAnne, Marrion leaves behind “her girls”- treasured nieces Donna, Gay, Kim and Sherri, sister-in-law Alex Hughes of Wiltshire UK, friend of sixty plus years Marguerite Vorvice and her extended family. To her friends and the wonderful staff at Harmony Hills Retirement Home, thank you for your warmth and friendship. Family and friends may call at Mount Lawn Funeral Home 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby (N of Hwy #2) 905 443-3376 for a Celebration of Marrion’s Life on Saturday February 24th, 2018 from 10: 00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Interment Mount Lawn Cemetery. A special thank you to the wonderful Supportive Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their compassionate care during our mother’s transition - it is greatly appreciated. Marrion’s natural grace touched all who knew her; she will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her sense of humour and innate goodness. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lakeridge Health Oshawa Supportive Care Unit or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may at www.mountlawn.ca
We want to find a quiet place, to sit with you awhile, to talk about the happy times, to listen and learn about the things that you've seen and done during your life and hope that makes you smile. Rest in peace, Grandma...Love you always, Chelsea & Courtney
When someone dies, an angel is there to meet them at the gates of Heaven to let them know that their life has just begun. Missing you Nana...With love, Lauren & Colin
